Great for tea, coffee, cakes, ice cream etc and they do a really really good all day breakfast. Really glad we found this place. Some of the tables are up on a slightly raised area (one step) but there are plenty that are level access, perfect for family members with limited mobility. Highly recommended, will come back next time we're in town.
Lovely lunch on a cold February day. Not been to this Fortes before but just as nice as the one in Llandudno. Lovely staff, clean and prompt service. Even had an ice cream on the way out
WOW memories of my childhood best vanilla ice cream ever. Superb all day breakfast with great coffee choice and very kind to my husky.
Beautiful sunny morning, sat outside, staff were very polite and attentive. Coffee - flat white and an Americano - made just how we like it - both at the correct temperature for us and strong. Breakfast brunch and poached eggs and avocado on wholemeal bread - delicious. Thank you
Great place to eat, staff are friendly and helpful, food is good, everything spot on, highly recommended, the sundae isn't cheap but it's well worth it absolutely amazing
We arrived without a booking (and just wandered in off the street without any Google checking of reviews) and were immediately seated. We were a party of three with one in a wheelchair however, we were able to stow this in a corner. The cafe/restaurant is wonderfully traditional; no blaring music, a classic menu and a decor that hasn't changed in years and absolutely doesn't need to. The staff were attentive, friendly, efficient and clearly good at what they do. We had three decent pots of tea, two huge BLTs, an egg and cress mayo all accompanied by a phenomenal salad and two decent portions of chips for 40. The bacon was excellent, the bread fresh and the salad crispy. The homemade coleslaw was perfect. Everything coming out of the kitchen looked well made and hearty. We'd go back in a heartbeat (and we're exceptionally fussy); especially on a blustery cold day in a window seat opposite the sea. On a side note, the fresh cakes and the ice cream parlour looked wonderful. Something for everyone!
What a fabulous place with a fabulous view. Plenty of places to park. Staff on arrival were so nice and helpful. Even the customers ( obviously regulars) were so friendly. Priced reasonably the menu had excellent choices! What can I say about the food , I could eat every meal every day there it was so fresh and tasty. Can't wait to get back there.
Great old fashioned values & service. I'm not easily impressed, but this place certainly impressed me. The young waiting staff were either supremely good naturally or trained well. I think they were brilliant themselves, to be honest.
